Family Lives On, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children who have lost a parent, developed a Tradition Program, in which they ask grieving children to describe the thing they most loved to do with their now-deceased parent. Family Lives On then helps children to reenact that event each year, often on a day that was meaningful to the family.
