A study was done where police officers were with varying levels of experience were tested when a man walked towards the front door of a school with a suspicious bulge in his pocket. The experienced police officers immediately drew their guns and told the guy to stop while the inexperienced ones were hesitating and thinking about what to do. When the police officers with experience were questioned as to their action they explain what was going through their minds and showed how they see the world differently. They hone in on information that matters most and have a sense and a quicker reaction of what to do with that information.lk
