the future ain't what it used to be--we know that. but we also know as Kohelet says, that nothing changes and everything stays the same. how do you reconcile these 2 concepts. reconciled by the recognition that g-d created the building blocks of the world , and those haven't changed since creation. but g-d gave each of us unique skills to look at and shape those same building blocks in infinite ways which creates myriads and myriads of possibilities for the future like there's never been before. it is one of the many gifts given to each of us to view these blocks in unique ways and to be able to create marvelous, fantastical creations. g-d has given us the ability to be g-d like. all we need to do is be aware of this and choose to utilize this.
