My statement about looking people in the white of…
My statement about looking people in the white of their eyes is not meant to show their fear points. I believe that you can tell the sincerity or honesty of a person much better by looking them in the white of their eyes. To the extent you are able to use that skill to make judgments about whether a person will do what they're supposed to do when they're supposed to do it, the ability to look at the white of their eyes becomes important to avoid future regrets or pains.

In the book
Make your word immeasurable, so that the people who deal with you never have to wonder; be the one who follows through. I have always believed you can read the sincerity of a person by looking them in the white of the eyes — learn to look, and learn to be worth looking at. And learn to see the true worth in things and people that the crowd has overlooked, because the value was always there whether or not anyone was clapping. — True North (Ethics, Integrity, Truth, Values)
