If you say no early in a cycle, and the recipient of that though knows that you mean it, you will not have to say no as frequently in the future. It is also an issue of self-respect. Once a greater self-respect is creative, then they are able to resist oppression. Maybe you are a loser, maybe you're not. But that doesn't mean that you must continue in acting like a loser.
