It's a discipline, a mental habit we either already have or can develop. And you line page 53 story about a surfer that when he went out for the first time he fell off his board right away and he did this about four additional times and he got frustrated and stopped this person moved from phase 1 which was unconscious incompetence to phase two which was conscious incompetence. This jump is often accompanied by strong negative emotions as people try activities they find out they don't know how to do and get frustrated. And then from there he went to conscious competence by working on his problems and finally went to conscious incompetence where he was able to serve with ease without thinking about it .
