When something is presented in front of you -…

When something is presented in front of you - - an example would be the marshmallow test that would was given to children - - there are multiple motivations that present themselves to the person viewing the marshmallows. For example there is the primary motivation of a tempting appetite of stimulus which makes you want to eat it. But there are also motivations on the size and shape and color. And there are also negative motivations on gaining weight or discipline. It is a combination of these motivations that dictate your actions. For children, and possibly for adults, the hotter the stimulus is the more the impulsiveness to consume. But the power is not in the stimulus but how You mentally appraise the stimulus. if you change The mental image or appraisal of the stimulus you can change the impulsiveness. So if you imagine that there's a cockroach on top of your dessert, your impulsiveness' will change.
