All moral discourses is at a disadvantage
All moral discourses is at a disadvantage. The reason is not only because it doesn't say anything new which novelty is sometimes necessary to keep a person's interest. We are able and capable of revisiting certain paintings or poems or other artistic works because we enjoy going back and seeing something we like over and over again. On the other hand moral treatises don't affect us this way because not only is it not new but even when we're listening with a half an ear we know that it's an invasion into our most private parts and is going to force us or push us into an uncomfortable position and is trying to change our habits and tastes and really does not want to be disturbed. This is what the Yitzer-Hara does.
