Topics distraction focus mindfulness meditation the world is full of distractions. It always has been. It is possible to train yourself to focus even when there are distractions around you. Try it. Turn on a radio and try to read a book. Go outside where there's construction and try to think about a problem. It requires practice, but it can be done. Your mind and your thoughts are probably your biggest distractor. Try to focus your eyes on a spot on the wall and not let thoughts get in the way. You will be able to accomplish this. Your body is a distractor. Anytime you have pain in a joint or a muscle You automatically move your thoughts to that pain. When something hurts you, try to focus on another subject such as reading. Eventually you can see that the pain will not be felt. The pain does not go away, but you are just not thinking about it. Once you recognize that distraction is a fact of life, and that you can beat it, it will be much easier to accomplish. Everybody's mind is different and people do not have to focus at the same high levels of concentration. Learn your ability to focus for yourself and practice focusing on their different scenarios with distractions and you will be able to determine your own equilibrium about focus.
