Members should know why the family is compiling this information so that, hopefully, all family members will agree to the process. It is important that the evaluators representing the first and second generations seek by this process to express four things to the members of the third generation: First, the first and second generations' love for them; Second, the first and second generations' desire for them to live lives in which they pursue personal journeys of happiness; Third, the first and second generation's desire to work with them to enhance their individual pursuits of happiness; and Fourth, the gratitude of the second generation to the first for their own lives of individual happiness, as a model for gratitude in its deepest dimension.
