Dreams for the Future
Dreams for the Future: Is you get older, the dreams focus starts shifting from yourself to what is going to live after you're not here anymore. Dreams for me create a conflict. Because if I have a dream, I try to actualize it. As the dreams shift from being self-centered to being centered on others, the conflict becomes how do I actualize it without seeming to be controlling of other people's lives. And should the dreams really be about me, or should the dreams really be about what other people have and try to fulfill those. Right now, the dreams that I have are for my children to be more at peace with themselves. For my grandchildren and great grandchildren to be self-sufficient and not have to rely on their parents or anybody else. The major goal is for everybody whether they are descendants or not to have peace and health and a quietness of mind. IMPORTANT, NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED ON

In the book
They are no longer about accomplishments — I have had those. My dream now is simply for my children to be at peace with themselves, and for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to be self-sufficient and unafraid; for everyone I love to have peace, and health, and a quiet mind. And one dream I get to live almost every day: time with you — traveling with you, playing with you, talking with you, giving you whatever advice an old man has left. […] I do not dream anymore of accomplishments. I dream that you will be at peace with yourselves, self-sufficient and unafraid, and that everyone I love will have peace, and health, and a quiet mind. Build your families on purpose. — Family & Parenting (Family/Parenting)
