With regard to family dynamics, there was not a lot of consistency. Given the fact that my mother's priority was to take care of the patients in the nursing home, it did not bode well for there to be consistency, because there were always things that came up at the nursing home. With that being said, it does not mean that my mother did not take care of us or cared for us. It just meant that there was no consistency but she made sure that everything that we needed was taken care of. She had one of the nurses aides if necessary help us eat or do whatever we needed to do. My father was also very involved in the meal process.
