Not sure if you're asking me about togetherness and values at the same time. Togetherness is a value for some individuals and is not a value for others. I value togetherness way too much. There has to be a balance. People shouldn't have to fight for human dignity or a society that preserves human dignity. That is a contradiction in values. If society preserves and values human dignity you would not have to fight for it. It is always those individuals that are on the outskirts of society that are trying to tear society apart for their own reasons that creates the fight. In general, I have found the best way to get people to not fight is by showing them that it is in their best interest to join the other side or to show the common values that both sides have.
