Scientific studies have shown that the brain stores a lot of information that we draw upon even though we do not actually receive the stimuli for it. In other words if you are walking down a desert road and you feel that there may additional studies have been done where the corpus callosum in a brain was cut which results in certain visual stimuli not being able to be seen by all parts of the brain. When the individual is viewing the visual stimuli has a conflict that does not enable him to understand what he is seeing, he will develop a rationale for why he saw that image even though the image was not there. This is called the interpreter part of the brain. see a snake around, you will jump before you actually see or recognize the feeling. The unconscious part of the brain has impressions of information that have been developed by the individual as well as probably ancestors to react to situations that we are not even aware are happening.
