the fear of dying
Page 43 the fear of dying. The greatest fear of death is the prospect that I will not have achieved all that I wanted to in this life. This final fear is the only one we should embrace. Rather than fearing death, better, we should fear what we do, or don’t do while we are alive. If we fail to make the most out of this life, then we must face the consequences that come with that choice. If we, on the other hand, choose to live life to the best of our ability, we have nothing to fear.

There is a subtler trap, too, hidden inside our fears. The single greatest fear most of us carry is not really the fear of dying — it is the fear of arriving at the end without having become or accomplished what we were here for. That one fear, alone among our fears, is worth keeping, because it can be answered. — The Landing (Death)
